Rode 75 miles through the "Wind River" area of West Central Wyoming today. There is a reason they call it wind river country. Strong winds most of the day and thunderstorms this afternoon. Winds from every direction and up to 30-40 mph gusts. I'm getting real good at fixing flat tires. Wanted to go further but the wind and my bike issues got the best of me today. Got a new tire pump and plenty of tubes at a great bike shop plus free ice cream bars and beer!. Some great pics of early morning along the Wind River. Rode by the National Museum of Military Vehicles, just outside of Dubois Wyoming. It was closed but it looked impressive...lots of tanks. Some afternoon shots of the high desert with the mountains in the background. Finally, as I mentioned yesterday I have 3 wonderful grandchildren. Pic of 12 year old Jace and 7 year old Evie having fun at the swimming hole on the Pack River. Plan on riding 80+ miles tomorrow and will be camping in a remote area without internet service so no post for a day or two.
