No riding today. Spent the day with one of my former partners and his wife as they celebrated their 51st anniversary, watching football and relaxing. Took some time to reflect back on the last 7 and 1/2 weeks of the ride, reviewed my photos and just enjoyed the memories of the ride. Above are a few of my favorite pictures, some of which I may have posted before....a young boy being photographed by his father as he was climbing the 300+ year old walls of the Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine, bicycle art in Pueblo Colorado, early morning view of the Madison River near West Yellowstone and a small pond near Jackson Wy.
Tomorrow I begin the final push to Key West as I ride to a resort on the edge of the Everglades in Southwestern Florida. Plan on spending a few days at the resort spending time with another former partner and taking an "Eco Tour" of the Everglades on Tuesday. On Wednesday I will ride through the Everglades on my way to the Keys. I'm 3 weeks ahead of schedule due to changing route plans because of weather and plan on arriving in Key West on 9/30.
