Day started with a 10 mile climb up Hoosier Pass out of Breckenridge Colorado...the highest point on the entire trip....It's all downhill from here. Then a slow 85 mile descent to Canon City Colorado with a fair amount of short steep climbs and headwinds. I had to get push my bike up an 18% grade! I'm getting sick of headwinds....tomorrow I head East into Eastern Colorado and Kansas...maybe the wind gods will be with me as I change directions from South/Southeast to due East. As I've ridden through Colorado it seems like everyone is building homes in the wilderness and there are a lot of properties for sale. Think the old log farmstead would make a great fixer upper for someone. Great wildflowers and Aspens today. P.S. Bob had a problem yesterday. His wheel fell off while crossing a street in Frisco Colorado! Not to worry, got it fixed and he's back on the road with me!
